Angry Rain Gods ...

Heavy rains have pounded entire maharashtra including the Economic capital of the country, Mumbai. It's been relentlessly pouring down cats n' dogs for past two days now and it has broken down Mumbai city's backbone. Transport, business, daaily affairs everything is severly affected. State government is taking help of armed forces to restore the situation.

I had one heck of an adventure last night in just getting back to my house in Thane from Dadar. I'll post a separate update on it later, but before that here are a few links to get some idea of what kind of chaos the rains have created in Mumbai .....

After 1974 this is the first time ever that the city of Mumbai has witnessed rains of this magnitude ! According to the Observatory records at Colaba and Santacruz, this is almost 3 times of 1974 rains!
