Stuggle for freedom .....

Struggle .. huhh .. hardly ... it's a matter of choosing the right option ....

This is about a group .. a forum (!!) that me & my classmates from xavier's are a part of, called - " Jumping Genes " .. rather to be more precise we've created it and we've made it grow to whatever it is today ! Now the time has come when we really have to decide whether to be a part of it anymore or to handle it over to the juniours and make it a kind of a relay sort of thing ..

As the distances have parted all of us from each other, we feel an ever-increasing need to have a space of our own .. just the batch-mates of 2004 batch .. . to continue to keep in touch and to share our lives with each other. The nostalgia is so strong and unforgettable that we can't resist thinking about the college, about the department and about the friends that we made in all those years at Xavier's !!

Since, there are other ppl too on the group .. other than people from my batch .. ppl from a batch later ... we feel the loss of freedom at times .. but, since we know these "other" guys well .. it's not very easy and appropriate to ask them to 'call it quits' too ... so, I as a moderator and owner of the group along with nachiket am stuck in a dilemma ....

There are so many different types of openions ... so much of activity happened on the group over this ... but, I'm really glad that atleast people who really thought that their openion will make a difference, posted .. and posted honestly ... it really brought the group to life almost ...

I had a very serious and thoughtful discussion with Malavika and Varun, my classmates from Xavier's .... regarding whether to handle the group over to juniours' and move on to a new one altogether .... Malavika is soon going to post on the group on that ... so, i'm expecting that it'll churn up the things a bit !! .. since, it is quite a hot topic on the group these days ...

I do not know the fate of jumping genes as of now ... but, waiting for the time to decide. It's not such a serious matter at the end of the day .. but, it is IMPORTNAT to me and my classmates !!

So, the time will tell me whether to make a matured decesion to hand it over to others or to continue with it just the way it is ...
